Rentals

A rental instrument needs to be setup and adjusted just as well as a professional one.  I personally take care that shop rental instruments are of the highest quality and adjusted properly so that the student can focus on learning to play. An instrument that is set up well means that you won’t have to spend all your time tuning and you will spend more time playing. All of our instruments are comfortable to play, sound great, and set up to our high standards.

I am currently offering violin rentals available in full and 3/4. Rental instruments come standard with the instrument, bow, rosin, and case.  Extras like shoulder rests and additional strings can also be purchased at the shop.

When you’re ready for a fine instrument, come check out my hand made violins, violas and cellos. I’ve won awards for tone and workmanship.

My focus when making an instrument is a marriage between playability, the design (whether based on a famous instrument or my own outlines), and building an instrument that suits the player.

Saxophone Lessons

We can all agree that this is probably the least likely place you’d come looking for saxophone lessons! However, besides being a luthier, I’m also a sax player with over 50 years experience. I offer sax lessons for students of all ages. I find fewer things more rewarding that working with new players to open the doors to the great world of music. My specialty is in jazz and improvisation and I’m comfortable taking on new students or folks wanting to improve their skills.

Okay, another left turn here. If you took the time to read my “About Me” section, you’ll know that I’ve been studying sitar and Indian music almost all my life. I understand how classical Indian instruments work and I’m comfortable working on them.
